Navy Strength

The Afterthought Spirits Company use a twist on a 17th Century distilling method to produce their gin. They believe that their use of traditional methods, coupled with a modern twist, results in deliciously smooth gins, with unique flavour profiles. They take a base of key traditional botanicals and twist things up with some new and exciting flavours. This allows them to create gins that are truly reflective of the "old ways", while bringing something new to the table. The twisted bottle itself is made porcelain available in white and black, which in our opinion always looks classy. This is a custom design, as the bottle has a "twist" wrought into it - as if someone has picked up the bottle and twisted it in their hands. The Gin Guide Review : Professors Club Original Twisted Gin delivers a wealth of flavour and contrast to entertain the palate. On the nose it is bright and bold with juniper, citrus peels and fruity notes. To taste, the fruity and citrus notes leap out again before being matched by punchy, peppery spice, while soft spices and sweetness give depth. The use of sarsaparilla, a botanical that only handful of gins and liqueurs have made use of, combines with star anise and cassia for a subtle undertone that is reminiscent of dandelion and burdock or root beer. When mixed the gin has balance and further hints of cardamom and cassia, with lime being an ideal garnish starting point. - Paul Jackson, 2020. Visit Our Store Navy Strength
